John Michael Osbourne did, years after using a sewing needle and pencil to scrawl O – Z – Z – Y on the knuckles of his left hand.
He was 15 years old then, a school drop-out going from job to job at construction sites, thinking of becoming a plumber or a toolmaker like his dad. Unable to pay the fine for stealing from a clothing store, Ozzy spent six weeks in prison.
