More on Kings Of Leon Concert Tickets

After being reared under the influence of Christianity in the US Deep South, three brothers and a cousin were set loose when a travelling preacher named Leon Followill left his Pentecostal church and divorced his wife. Waiting for the guys with open arms was rock and roll. The sons of the broken marriage locked themselves in the basement and played music.

That was in 1999 when they were all in their teens or early twenties. The youngest was just 13. They took the name Kings of Leon.

Still rough around the edges, the band nonetheless gained interest from music producers for the quality of their compositions. When RCA offered them a recording contract, it was for just the two oldest brothers but they insisted on including their little brother and young cousin. Done deal. But the Kings of Leon were no hit at home in the USA. It was in the UK that the public and media took to them right away, drawing comparisons to the Rolling Stones. A handful of albums and a lot of touring later (including stints with Bob Dylan and Pearl Jam), the Followill boys have it all going for them. They won three Grammys in 2010 and had a documentary done about them. Singer Caleb Followill just married Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge. Drummer Nathan’s married to singer Jessie Baylin, and cousin Matthew (married to singer-songwriter Johanna Bennett) on lead guitar. Baby brother Jared (still single) plays bass.
